The research of Dermatoglyphics is more than 350 years old.
The practical use of Dermatoglyphics first started by Russia (USSR) in 1970, to select the skilled sportsmen for different games in the Olympic.
The word “Dermatoglyphics” was first coined by Dr. Harold Cummins.
Considering all the aspects of Anthropology, Embryology, Genetics, Neuroscience, Psychology etc. Dr. Harold Cummins researched on fingerprint and brain lobes, for more than 50 years, from 1926 to 1976.
Dr. Harold Cummins certainly acknowledged as “Father of Dermatoglyphics”.
Dermatoglyphics was also used to find genetic diseases like Down syndrome with more than 95% of accuracy.
